Rapid urbanisation in Kuala Lumpur City Centre is continuously expanding has urged the attention on having urban forestry in city to promote active lifestyle with close contact to nature. Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve (BNFR) is a small patch of urban rainforest sited at the heart of Kuala Lumpur has been gazetted as the Virgin Jungle Reserve in 1950. As BNFR is fronting one of prominent road in Kuala Lumpur; Jalan Ampang, there is no connectivity between Jalan Ampang to this Forest Reserve.

Therefore, the proposed design is to reconnecting back to the community nearby Jalan Ampang with Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve to restore the spirit of place of Urban Forestry in promoting healthy lifestyle through physical activity and awareness in forest conservation.
