CONCEPT OF 'ISLAM AND HEALTH' - THE FITNESS MOSQUE

The mosque mainly uses for Muslims to perform their prayers ('ibadah'). It is also known as a centre for spiritual growth and learning for the community.

​

The proposed design is not only to facilitate ibadah or praying activities also able to perform zakat, fasting during Ramadhan as well preparation to perform Hajj / Umrah to fulfill all the five pillars of Islamic Faith ('Rukun Iman'). The design is generated from the common practice of Hajj and Umrah's simulation training in Malaysia while emphasise Islam as fitness and healthy lifestyle in everyday living due to issues below :

a. Lack of understanding and exact physical practice during simulation training

b. Limited place and space for training especially tawaf
