Construction industry is the highest contributor with 37% on generation of solid waste in Malaysia due to application on-site construction. Adaptation of Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric Construction (PPVC) as one of Industrialised Building System (IBS) has been explored in ensuring less on-site works by maximising usage of volumetric components. Exploration on PPVC modules are done to maximise its potential in achieving flexibility and adaptability based on user preferences during its lifespan.
Therefore, exploration on module design is not only limited on reduction of construction waste but also as overall system in achieving less waste yet more flexible to create design varieties of modules within construction project.
